Course Description
We get it…not all of your clients are able to accept a referral for fracture repair, but…
- Are you tired of amputating limbs that you know you can save?
- Do you have difficulty approaching or reducing long bone fractures?
- Are you interested in learning simple techniques designed for the general practitioner to stabilize the most common fractures seen in dogs and cats?
This blended online + hands-on CE training is like none other! If you’re going to be successful with your fracture repairs, you don’t want just SOME of the important principles, you want ALL of them … and this is the course to put you on right path right from the start. We will use a combination of easy-to-understand didactic lectures and extensive, practical hands-on lab training with plastic bone models and cadavers to teach you reliable techniques for stabilizing simple and comminuted long bone diaphyseal fractures. Postoperative radiographs will be made to evaluate and discuss your repair technique with our helpful and supportive orthopedic experts. New implant designs and practical tips from our teaching faculty will make your fracture management simpler than ever before! Clinical case discussions will put everything into context and allow us to discuss postoperative care and strategies to reduce complications.
You’ll return to your practice willing and able to save the limbs and the lives of your patients for whom referral to a specialist simply isn’t an option.
**Open to technicians to attend with a veterinarian from their practice (1 technician per veterinarian)**
