Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Mitral Valve Repair

The course is designed for heart team specialists interested in exploring transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repair (TEER). Lectures will cover important elements of TEER including patient evaluation, case selection, surgery, intervention, and imaging. Participates will have the opportunity for hands-on simulator training with the V-Clamp device, simulator and wet-lab training in transesophageal echocardiography, and small group case evaluation sessions. The course will include a live case demonstration. Emphasis will be placed on the need for a heart team approach and registration of 2 or 3 heart team members from a single center is encouraged. At the end of the course, participants will gain a basic understanding of the TEER procedure and what is needed to start a successful TEER program.
