Stifle Stabilization: TightRope

If you’ve seen one dog with cranial cruciate ligament disease (CrCLD), you’ve seen 100’s. But you also know that your CrCLD patients are all different … different breeds, different lifestyles, different owner expectations / goals, different ages, different degrees of instability and tibial shapes … the list goes on. You refer a lot of them to a board-certified surgeon, but some of your clients can’t overcome the barriers to referral. You’re beginning to wonder if you could treat some of these patients yourself, but you also want to be sure that you take great care of your valued clients. There is only one way to find out if TightRope® stifle stabilization is your next step … come see what it is all about! In this specially-designed course, you’ll enjoy a blended learning format that combines “anytime/anywhere” online learning with an in-depth, hands-on learning experience. Your online learning will allow you to learn in your own space and at your own pace to prepare you for an in-person experience that emphasizes hands-on training, case discussions, and radiographic review sessions. You’ll be trained to diagnose CrCLD as well as detect the “silent ExCap assassin” co-morbidities so that you can steer clear of danger and client disappointment. You’ll learn to honestly educate your clients about the treatment options and their outcome with a simplified breakdown of the latest research. You’ll learn the risk factors for medial meniscal injury as well as how to visualize, probe and treat meniscal tears. You’ll learn the critical aspects of aseptic technique and proper anatomic location of quasi-isometric sites suture anchor site required to make TightRope® successful in your practice. We will discuss a postop convalescent care plan designed to optimize your surgical outcomes. You’ll return to your practice with a whole new and updated understanding of CrCL disease and the role of TightRope® Extracapsular Suture Stabilization as a treatment option. You’ll be eager to offer the treatment when it makes sense and you’ll be wise enough to avoid those cases for which the predicted outcome is sketchy.
