Course Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Complete a comprehensive oral exam, understanding clues present in the oral exam that will aid in your treatment planning
- Understand the procedure for hand scaling and curettage
- Perform regional anesthesia in the oral cavity
- Obtain full mouth radiographs of the animal and interpret common normal variations and periodontal pathology
- Perform the steps in an extraction
- Recognize the equipment needed for each step in the extractions
- Create a flap for oro-nasal fistula repair
- Surgically extract retained tooth roots
