ER Management of Orthopedic Injuries

You know the story … the clinic was calm until one of your best clients comes running frantically through the door with her traumatically injury pet in her arms. You and your team responded just as you were trained and you’ve saved the pets life! But now it’s time to assess and treat those open wounds and that hideously dangling limb. Even if you plan to refer the pet to a specialist for definitive orthopedic treatment, what you do now will profoundly affect the pet’s comfort, prevent ongoing damage and will initiate the healing process. This online course will provide you with new and refined skills in small animal Orthopedic & Wound First Aid. You’ll return to your practice confident and able to provide excellent orthopedic & wound first aid for your trauma patients. You’ll also be comfortable educating your clients regarding when (and when not) to use of casts and splints as a definitive fracture therapy.
