Advanced Cardiology Review Course – April 15-19, 2024

The Advanced Cardiology Review has been in existence in various forms for over 20 years. In 2024, the review will include 9 expert speakers over 4 full days focusing on nearly all aspects of clinical veterinary cardiology. More than 30 hours of lecture will be provided on cardiovascular physiology, pathology, hemodynamics and cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and ECG interpretation, cardiac pacing, morphology and nomenclature of congenital heart disease, landmark manuscripts in veterinary cardiology, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies to include echocardiography, angiography, and cardiac computed tomography. In addition, a laboratory is offered of selected pathologic specimens from the collections of Bill Thomas and Brian Scansen demonstrating morphologic features of both congenital and acquired heart disease. The review is focused on individual and group learning through collegial interactions and group discussion.
