This course is designed to expand your comfort and skills with wound management and skin reconstruction techniques. Management of a traumatic wound requires a good understanding of wound healing, evaluation and appropriate support for the traumatic patient You’ll learn about the current standard of care in wound dressings. The skin reconstruction skills you will learn can be used to close any wound whether it is traumatic or the result of a mass resection. Didactic training for “head knowledge” is one thing, but this will all be reinforced through extensive hands-on training in the cadaveric procedures labs and applied through practical discussion of clinical cases.
You’ll return to your practice prepared and confident in your new skills in wound management and skin reconstruction
