This one-day feline extraction intensive is custom designed for practitioners who are already performing dentistry in their practices, have attended dental CE and are questing more training and honing of skills on more challenging extractions in a low pressure, supervised setting.Â
Extraction of the mandibular canine tooth is the most common extraction associated with iatrogenic fracture and extraction dehiscence. It is an extraction that practitioners dread and occasionally avoid. In this course, we will review relevant anatomy, learn about recommended equipment, evaluate flap, bone removal and closure techniques. The course will finish with case discussions of mandibular extractions and a video demonstration.
The overall goal of this course is for private practitioners to explore the latest in dental diagnostic technology and help the practitioner feel empowered to perform high quality oral examinations and acquire diagnostic dental radiographs that they can accurately interpret to provide a treatment plan.
This course focuses on treatment planning and techniques to extract premolar and molar teeth. The online learning portion of the course covers dental applied anatomy, maximizing oral exam and imagining findings to develop and hone a treatment plan, and equipment and techniques to extract teeth.
