Our two-day introductory GI endoscopy course is specifically designed for veterinarians with little to no endoscopic experience.

Whether it is foreign body removal, PEG tube placement, or GI biopsy, the new GI endoscopy skills you’ll build in this course will make you a valuable member of your clinic team and the hero of many pet-owning clients.

Enjoy 7 hours of practical and engaging lecture covering indications, basic technique, and disorders diagnosed via endoscopy, followed by 9+ hours of valuable hands-on training to build your confidence and skills.

You’ll leave our course with comprehensive knowledge and skill that will help you be a valuable part of your clinic’s endoscopy team.

Instructors

Dr. David Twedt

DVM, DACVIM

Dr. David C. Twedt graduated from Iowa State University and entered an internship and medicine residency in gastroenterology at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Twedt then joined the staff of the Animal Medical Center and was also a research associate at the Liver Research Center of Albert Einstein Medical School. Dr. Twedt then joined the faculty in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University in small animal internal medicine. He is currently Professor Emeritus in the Department and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Dr. Twedt is past President of the ACVIM and Comparative Gastroenterology Society and co-founder of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society. Publication and research interests include liver disease, gastrointestinal disease and endoscopy. He has also been the recipient of a number of teaching. research and national awards including the Norden-Pfizer Distinguished Teacher Award, WSAVA International Scientific Achievement Award, Pioneer in Endoscopy Award and ACVIM Robert W. Kirk Award for Professional Excellence. He is also the co-editor of 4 textbooks including Current Veterinary Therapy 14 and 15 editions.

Dr. Michael Leib

DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Leib graduated from the University of Georgia and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Colorado State University. He then served on the faculty at Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech where he was C.R. Roberts Professor of Small Animal Medicine until retiring in 2017. He is now Emeritus Professor and Diplomate of ACVIM. Dr. Leib’s clinical and research interests are in gastroenterology and endoscopy. He as published extensively and has lectured Nationally and Internationally. Dr. Leib is also the recipient of many teaching awards.

Dr. Craig Webb

DVM, DACVIM

After completing his PhD in Neuroscience, Dr. Webb earned his DVM from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Webb did his internship at Alameda East in Denver where he experienced his 15 minutes of fame on Animal Planets “Emergency Vets” TV show. Dr. Webb was a resident at CSU with Dr. David Twedt as his mentor, and has remained on faculty at the VTH ever since.

Dr. Jarrod Moss

Jarrod Moss is the Medical Director of At Your Service Veterinary Hospital. A native of Nevada, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University. He then pursued advanced postgraduate training in internal medicine and surgery at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. Moss has owned and operated seven veterinary hospitals, where he has consistently championed the integration of minimally invasive procedures into general practice. His expertise spans radiology, internal medicine, and surgery, with a particular focus on endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery. By prioritizing these advanced techniques, Dr. Moss has helped expand access to minimally invasive treatment options for pets. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Moss is devoted to teaching and mentoring, sharing his knowledge of minimally invasive procedures with veterinarians across the hospitals he has led. His lifelong mission is to ensure that techniques once reserved for specialty centers become a standard of care in everyday veterinary practice.

Policies

Participant Cancellation Policy: Course attendees can cancel their registration for an in-person course according to the following

Cancellation more than 60 days prior: Full refund or 100% Future Transfer Credit (FTC).
Cancellation 30-60 days prior: 50% refund or 75% FTC.
Cancellations within 30 days: 50% FTC only. Cancellations due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.
Future Transfer Credits can be applied to any course within 365 days of the cancelled course.

Course Cancellation Policy: Course cancellations due to low registration numbers or other circumstances may be announced 35 days or more prior to the course. Full refund of the course registration or 100% Future Transfer Credit (FTC) will apply. We are unable to reimburse for travel expenses incurred.
